Thanks to Jamie Sanderson at Young Guns for his exclusively report from Dakar earlier last week. We can review a photo of our new signing Cheikh Hadjibou Soumaré taken by Jamie Sanderson. Liam Brady went over to Dakar on Sunday to seal the deal for the player touted to be the new Vieira. Soumare can also play as a Center Back and will provided much needed cover .

Arsenal will not have to pay a fee for the player as he is still only 15. He will link up with Arsenal when he turns 16 in November.

Soumare said ” I want to come to England and play for Mr Wenger, I feel he can make me into a better player,It is always been my dream to play for Arsenal”

Thanks again to Jamie Sanderson at Young Guns for this exclusive report.

And here is the photo of Soumare wearing the Arsenal shirt

Arsenal Sign Jamie Sanderson

Posted in Uncategorized on May 21, 2008 by afcnews admin

Reports coming from Timbuktu is that Arsenal have completed the signing on young starlet Jamie Sanderson. Sanderson is regarded as the new Steve Gerrard and we can confirm that Arsenal have beaten AC Milan to his signature….

Do you see how easy it is to start up a random bullshit story to get hits for a site?

Unfortunately Jamie Sanderson at youguns has mad a habit of announcing via his blog the signings of players which later turns out to be nothing more then a lie.

Today he announced that Arsenal had completed the signing of Francis Coquelin. Nothing on Arsenal.com

Last week Sanderson announced that we had signed Oguzhan Ozyakup. the player later said that No deal was done.

Sanderson even said that Nasri was in london today to have a medical and having pictures before flying back to France. This is a complete lie

Sanderson, On behalf of all Arsenal fans across the world please stop announcing that we have signed players when we have not. Wait until its on Arsenal.com before doing so in the future. This is not the first time you have been proved wrong. You was the person who told us that we had Signed Yago Fernandez which turned out to be a load of shit. its blogs and sites like this that are making us Arsenal fans disappointed because you keep on posting false information.

When Arsenal FC confirm to us on the official club website Arsenal.com they have signed a player I will believe them and not your 2 bob site

We have NOT signed Oğuzhan Özyakup

Posted in Uncategorized on May 10, 2008 by afcnews admin

Contrary to reports Arsenal have NOT signed Oğuzhan Özyakup.

Last week a Blog  youngguns reported that Arsenal have signed 15 year old Oguzhan Özyakup from Dutch outfit AZ Alkmaar, on a five year contract. Link

This is false and was confirmed by the player himself when he was interview on a more respected website www.uefa.com

Oguzhan said Liam Brady, the head of youth development, watched me and communicated with my agent,” Oğuzhan said. “But the transfer is still uncertain. I hope it will be certain in a few weeks.Link to full interview

Oguzhan Özyakup may sign for Arsenal in the future? but we at AFC News just wanted to confirm that the player had NOT signed for us…..YET

We will only report that a player has signed for us when it is 100% CONFIRMED!!

Wenger shows signs of dementia

Arsène Wenger rates the current Arsenal side as the best – and the unluckiest – he has ever had. But how can this side be better then the great sides that did the ’double’ in 1998 and 2002 & ‘The Invincibles’ that went unbeaten in the title campaign of 2004.

This side of  2008 fell short in the Premier League after leading the table for much of the season and suffered a cruel Champions League exit at Liverpool. Nonetheless, Wenger believes they can eclipse their illustrious predecessors.

Wenger said “I believe that this team was beyond expectation from the first day of the season,” “Unfortunately they don’t get the credit they deserve at the moment for the quality of their displays.“I think we have learned a lot. We were very close to winning the European Cup and the Premier League. We were unlucky with some bad decisions from the referees’ consistency since the Birmingham game.“And maybe when we were under pressure we lost a bit of freedom in our display. That’s what we have to learn.“But I feel it bodes well for next season because since I have been in England this has been the unluckiest team I have had. But as well this is the best team I have had.”

The man is losing it
